P3 Chili with "Rice"

This one is a keeper!  My husband said to put it in the dinner rotation.  Success!

If you eat cauliflower on phase 2 , you could count this as a phase 2 meal as well, as long as you don't add cheese or sour cream.

Chili with Cauliflower Rice

1 lb Ground Beef
1/4 Onion, finely chopped
1/4 Green Pepper, finely chopped
 1-2 Tomatoes, chopped
1 head Cauliflower, grated
1 14 oz can Tomato Sauce
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 - 1 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
Pepper, to taste

Brown ground beef with onions and peppers.  Drain excess fat.  Add remaining ingredients and simmer, covered, 5-10 minutes to cook cauliflower.  Serve with grated cheese and sour cream, if desired.

Is there any chance you would happen to know how many calories this has? and can you tell me if it is like 1 Protein and 1 fruit or something like that? Sorry, I am new to this and I have a hard time with claculating these things. Thanks in advance!

The best way you figure out the calories is to use a calorie counter like at this link: http://www.livestrong.com/myplate/ That way you can put in your exact ingredients and get an accurate number. Since this is a P3 meal there is no need to count it as a protein and a veggie or whatever, that is only on P2 where you are limited. On P3 you can mix whatever foods you like and include fat and dairy so it's not the same.
